D.C. Hill.Chittagong is undergoing more restrictions in terms of public movement. The new D.C. is trying to rule with iron fist.

The new D.C. of Chittagong  seems to be a man -as if trying to rule Chittagong with an iron fist.
The current  D.C. who has recently joined  Chittagong office from Brahmanbaria about a month ago has congregated police and armed police  this morning in order to make sure that a new gate is erected in the midway high up in the hill  of the park  by his order despite common morning and evening walkers' extreme dissatisfaction about it.

Despiite the fact that  he does  already have a gate at the outlet of D.C.'s  bungalow with constant police protection, hundreds of morning walkers  today watched the on going construction of another new gate , many commented that many D.C.-s have come  and  gone in the past  but none did perform such a  totally anti-people act. The new D.C. of Chittagong is of the opinion that  there are many indecent things which continue to happen here  perpetrated by some unsocial elements , so he  is erecting this second gate  just to safeguard the modesty of his residence, but the morning walkers feel- his action is like chopping off the head in  order to treat the head ache, they say- if there are some unsocial activities going on in the park area  at night the D.C. may ask the law and order enforcing  authority to stop it,  but instead he being a public servant is 'protecting' himself and his family from this aforesaid 'unsocial acts' and thus exposing the whole city to those bad elements who are supposedly  loitering there in the park. But D.C. was convinced not to be convinced.

The morning-walkers today in the morning  gave a representation to  ex-minister Engg. Mosarraf Hossain  M.P. who  once masterminded this park. He  rang and requested  the D.C. not to build up this gate  untill he(M.P. ) talks to him(the D.C) again  by discussing the matter even with the Honorable P. M.  Sheik Hasina this evening.

The D.C. AGREED  WITH THAT . BUT WHILE THE MORNING WALKERS CAME BACK TO THE PARK THEY FOUND TO THEIR UTTER SURPRISE THAT THE CONSTRUCTION  WORK WAS GOING ON.
